As both ships sailed away he knew he was stranded and began to wonder if it had all been worth it.... It was. Of course it was.
She left a trail that could never be followed and whispered goodbye forever.
Once he lost sight of her he lost sight of everything.
Not a whisper, not a squeak of her plans to escape. She stayed silent until the time was right.
Broken heart be damned. He would not let this be his end. He dove into the sea and swam and swam and swam until he found the ship where his love was imprisoned. He climbed aboard to find her.
But alas! His rescue attempt proved futile and he found himself falling yet again...falling into love and despair, now so relentlessly entwined.
His failed attempt at rescue would not keep them apart. She never needed saving anyway. She set herself free and dove in after him. They would be together at last.
And there he was. There they were. Perhaps this was the beginning.
